Processor Usage

I am using a modified version of Windows XP Professional, using an AMD Athlon XP 2400 (2.0 G Hz) and a Creative Audio PCI (24-bit) Sound card. After a short term of usage, I will check the task list on my system, and see that TeamSpeak.exe is consuming ~99% of my CPU's processing ability. The only solution that I've found to be effective is to exit and restart the program (methods such as muting output, moving to a different channel, or even reconnecting to the server do not work).

I have also attempted running TeamSpeak with the updated executable that is found on the TeamSpeak site. This did not have any notable effect upon the processor usage.

Admittedly, it may be because of the severe modifications to my operating system, but I felt that this needed to be shared.

I too am experiencing high processor usage I have tried both the current release and the beta candidate just starting the program and watching the kernal usage it sits at between 36 and 49%. I do not have a modified operating system and am using a plantronics dsp 500 headset. I changed the sound device from the plantronics headset to a sigmatel audio card and the processor usage drops right down, has anyone any ideas how to fix it for a plantronics headset I am already using the latest drivers.

I think there is a "leak" somewhere in the program...I am having problems with my laptop doing a physical memory dump when I run TS, Ultima Online and UO automap. with out TS I can run all my game, outlook and several internet windows for hours with no problems. But with TS I can run for about 45-50 mins and then poof.... blue screen of death with a physical memory dump..
