View Full Version : TeamSpeak Server help.
Hi, I have been trying to set up a Team speak Server. I have gone through the Sticky on the forum several times ( http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=25224 ). I have done Exactly what it says. Everything should work. I have configured my UDP & TCP things in the firewall. to what i am supposed to. My server is in the Web Server list so i don't see why people cant connect. http://www.watismyip.com. I can connect through my LAN IP.
I have tried the test on http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com/ and these are the results...
Performing UDP test...
» Establish a connection with the server ERROR 3
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server ERROR 3
» Perform connection handshake ERROR 3
» Retreive a list of active channels ERROR 3
Performing TCP test...
» Establish a connection with the server ERROR 1
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server ERROR 1
» Retreive the servers global information ERROR 1
Performing HTTP test...
» Establish a connection with the server ERROR 1
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server ERROR 1
» Retreive the servers version information ERROR 1
The message i get is...
[16:31:48] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it
And it has nothign to do with a router because that i don't need one. I just have a plug that goes directly into my PC.
What should i do ?
PS. Just so you know, renting a server is not an option.
Thanks in advance.

Is windows firewall running aswell?
Or is that the firewall that you configured?

Yeah that is the firewall that i configured. all the TDP and the UDP are all correct... I read a bit from another thread about " DHCP ".. I am not sure were i saw it but it also said how to find it. And if my memory is correct then i think i remember it was that. Hope i helped a little :)

The reference to DHCP would be a server/similar assigned IP
This could be for the external IP, or the internal IP
Is the 1 cable that goes into the pc a USB cable or a network/ethernet cable?
If it is ethernet, there could be some configuration needed on the modem

Right
Sorry for any confusion, some people call it network cable, others ethernet cable, and some cat5 (or 6)
What is the make/model of the modem?
I have no modem... What is the diffrence between a router and a modem. Always thought they were the same thing..
I need no modem.. :) just a plug from wall to pc

Ah, so you haven't got cable
Or rather, in the traditional sense of fibre optic cable, you were meaning the network cable
Are you at a university or something?
As somewhere, there will be a modem or router...
Unless theres something strange about teh danish telephone system.....

Nope. I'm in a apartment building... Does that mean it wont work ? I can contact the guy that owns the place and maybe he can configure the modem.?

Start --> Run --> type cmd
Press enter
Type
ipconfig /all > c:\ip.txt
This will create a text file on your c: drive called ip.txt

You didnt need to translate it, but thanks for doing it
Right
You are on some form of a LAN
You have a LAN IP address of 192.168.1.164
The Default gateway/DHCP is 192.168.1.1
Which would be some form of a router
So yeah, if you want external access, you are gonna have ot ask the owner to forward it for you
Re the Dynamic IP part
You may want to ask for that IP reserving for your pc, or just set it as static on ur pc
And then he can port forward to that IP
You need to ask for Port 8767 port forwarding to that ip

ok thanks a million mate... Is there any way that i dont need to call the admin.. and ask him to forward the port(s).. Coz the guy that owns the place is very weird and he gets mad very easily xD

A logon box should pop up
It should say above the username and password, a make and model of the router
Post it here

Cant you do a Print Screen?
By Pressing Print screen on your Keyboard...
Or is that what you are mean?
Do you actually get a logon screen/login box?
Or just like a web interface....
