i am running a server on my pc...i can join with my laptop and my friend can join from his house and so can another friend. Its seems only a few ppl can join when my ts has 16 slots. But this is not so. When one of my friends that can join leaves, and one of my friends that isnt in and tries to join he cant get in. Its like it blocking certain ppl. The max users i have had is 3. Its ridiculous. I am running with a ZyXeL prestige 600 series with ports opened.. but with this router i cannot choose to open udp and tcp like its just all one type and doesnt say what type it is. well this is my knowledge and i seem to know quite a bit.

I would very much appreciate some help with this topic and wish to get my clan server up and running.

Yours truly ProZac

It could be a limit of your internet connection....

If you are wanting a lot of people on one TS server, unless you have a really fast home connection/work connection that you are allowed to use, it would be best to pay for a hosted one

ty man that may be the problem....but i was talking to one of my friends hwo couldnt join and we pinged eachother so connection was ok and then he opened all his ports and he was able to join my server. Its WEIRD. so im guessing this has something to do with my server/router. Why is this happening and How can i fix it?

Simple answer - Your friend have very strong firewall and he(she?) not know how to configure it properly.
For example, if it is a packet-level filter (like CHX-I or Jetico), he/she must set up rule for
Incoming UDP connection
From Any IP, port 8767
To any IP, port > 1023
Permit

hrmmm ok thats true. But why is he able to connect to every other ts server without having to do this? Its only mine with the problem. This is what i dont understand, why can he only connect to mine when he opens all ports? It must have something to do with me and i wish i knew what it was. Im going to upgrade my internet speed this week any seggesitons on what speeds i will need to host a ts while playing online games??

As a client, he shouldnt need to open any ports....
