Hi!
I am trying to connect to a server that uses the default port (8767) from university residence.
All ports minus the most used (80, mail, ftp, etc) are blocked by default. If I want to use another one, I have to ask the network admin to open it for me.

I'm using Windows XP SP2 and have the firewall disabled. I use Kaspersky antivirus. TS RC2.

I've asked the network admin to open 8767 port for me. Whenever I try to connect the TS server (yes, it's online), I get this:
[01:04:26] No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

Everyday at 3 in the morning all ports are opened. I've tried at that time and I COULD connect. So I know it's something with blocked ports.

From what I've read, TS uses a random port to connect (I've confirmed it with TCPView). The admin won't open all ports. So I need to know:

Is there some way I can restrict the ports client uses? Or the problem can be something else?

I would appreciate very much your help, as I play EVE Online and my alliance requires me to use TS.

The problem is your university is blocking access to the destination port of 8767.

The port you're going out on doesn't matter, you can't get to that destination port.

Your only real option would be to connect to a server using a non-blocked port.

Alternately, you could get an ISP of your own - for example, a cellular modem, if you can afford it. Then you can bypass the uni's network (and restrictions). Expensive, but an option.

I have a similar problem, except i don't have freindly admins, they WON'T open ANY ports... sooooo, i use tunneling.

I have never managed to use TS over my tunnel though, my thread is here (http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=34507).

If you decide to try tunnelling, here (http://www.twock.com/java/cubehub/) is what i used. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any luck!

Ok, you have to make sure they open that port from your ip. What they have setup is a switch based network which allows hundreds of connections. What they have to do is to setup the port though your ip you recieve from them. Or even allow that port on all computers.
