Please try the following:
a) Update your sounddrivers
b) Update your graphicdrivers
c) Update DirectX
d) Update your USB-drivers

When occures this error? (on startup, after connecting, before, on startup of WoW, ...)

If you want to help, please do that, but in the forums, so others can profit too.

purchase a Turtle Beach Audio Advantage Micro USB sound card. I had the same problem with my Pavilion notebook!!! Spent $29.99 at Staples and POOF it works GREAT!!! It just plugs into any USB port and then you plug your headphone or speakers into that.

Trust me it works GREAT!!!
