Nickname error

I was connecting ok but now I am getting "Error" "Nickname already in use". I am new to TS can anyone explain what I am doing wrong or how I can rectify the problem please?. I have tried changing my Nickname but still get the same message.

Perhaps the nicknames you tried out was already in use?

If not try this: Check in your local addressbook the box "Allow server to assign a nickname"

Thanks for help. The nickname is unique and I do not think it would be in continual use. I really wanted to pick my own Flight Simulator name. Cheers.

Can anyone else suggest a remedy. My nickname is ZK-PLO and I would doubt that it would be in use. I get this error no matter what time of day or night I try to connect. I have checked the settings and all appears ok but as I am new to TS perhaps I may have missed something?.

Have you tried doing the server assigned nickname for the moment?

Then when your on, get registered with the server, and you can probably then have your nickname

Was able to connect through 'Quick Connect'. Thanks for your response. Appreciated.

Last time you were on, did you time out? (eg Your Connection to the Server has been Terminated sound will play)

Try reinstalling TeamSpeak.
