I am wondering what files do I back up i have been backing up the server.dbs, the server.ini the server.log and TSclient.log. are there any files other files i should back up.

second, the TS client log doesnt well, log, how do i get that file to populate

also, is there a .dbs reader that i can find to see a clear text, server.dbs file for easier reading. so i can look at how the servers are configured, it would help when i go to apply a backup, so i dont have to apply it to all the servers just the selected ones that need it.

To Backup a Server: server.dbs and server.ini

To Backup a Client: TSclient.log

The TSclient.log is created so taht it cannot be read straight off, this is to protect the passwords inside

For reading the server.dbs, i use Notepad++, and it is readable, just quite a few nuls in it

I think in MySQL, it is a lot easier to read, as its in proper rows...

You should save the file teamspeak.conf ,too.
To find the file open “start” menu -> “RUN” type: %appdata%\teamspeak2

the TSClient.log is NOT needed for a backup, the client does not read any data from it, and there are no passwords stored in it. The client only needs the .conf backuped. The server does store the passwords for the admin to view in the logfile, so you *might* want to backup the server.log, but again these passwords are not read by the server, they exist soley as information to the user.
