setting up server... need help please

ok im new to this so bare with me....
when setting up your server... How exactly do you "select your server?"

i tried to set up the server on a spare PC but i just cant get it to launch where i can actually find it..

???? I really don't get your problem.

1) install somwhere a TS server (can be run on the same PC where the client run).

2) install the client and connect to to the server by using the IP adress of the TS server. If both PC are in the same LAN, this is a
VERY easy settup.

How to admi nthe server ?
This question has been answerde a tousand times. It's described in the FAQ as well or use the search feature.

Guys i found another thread which the poster has the same exact problem as i do, it revolves around the linksys router i am using, i will just refer to that thread and see if i can solve the problem that way.... thank you for your replys...
