It fixes some problems/exploits in the TS system

Although beta, it should be pretty stable, and is probably worth the upgrade!!

Yes

No difference...

Unless there nickname contains bad characters...

Bad characters? What do you mean by that?

Can't the bad characters be altered within the server.ini file?

I think that Reedy ment that the users trying to use that exploit can't connect.

Can you use mysql with this beta? I'm using mysql databases for my teamspeaks and so far only the released unbeta version works with it

MySQL is still not a database that TS supports out of the box

There are methods listed on here to get it to do so

the 100 tcp connections dose that mean the server instance can only have 100 max connections at any point in time or is it 100max per port number?

Thomas

For the whole server instance ("100 connections per tcp query port").

Hello,
I'm sorry if my question could be a bit stupid, but I'm newbe.
How can I upgrade my old version of TS2 server (for Linux) without losing all datas?

Thank you!

Upgrading from the latest stable version to a BETA version is pretty easy.

All you have to do is replacing a single file. Simply shutdown the TeamSpeak 2 server instance, replace the existing server_linux file with the updated executable, start the TeamSpeak 2 server and you are done.

LOL :D

It's no installer file. you simply have to replace the old server_linux executable with the new one that comes with this download.

Maybe you didn't notice, but your question has been answered 4 posts above your own.

If I remember correctly, someone called "Bastian" wrote the following:
