Microphone constantly mutted

I know this has probably been talked about lots and lots of times but I couldn't find an anwser to it so I'm asking this here again: My microphone is constantly mutted when I do aoss TeamSpeak and I can't unmute it . On my alsamixer the microphone is recording and cranked up to the max but when I go to (in Gnome) System -> Prefrences -> Sound and try to test the alsa input I get:
gconfaudiosrc ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink profile=chat: Resource busy or not available

Can anyone help me with this? :(
