Mike refuses to load

Hi all, runing a P4 2.4 with ac97 softwear, not certain of sound card, win xp h, and wondering exactly how to get mic to work, tryed the usual way but no joy on that.

Does it work in soundrecorder?

A lot of soundcards require you to select the mircophone as recording source. Look in your soundcard drivers / software
