hi, i play halo and i recently re-installed windows i installed Teamspeak again and everything seemed to be working fine, i play halo online and my clan uses it. however whenever Teamspeak is running my FPS in-game drops down to 10-15 an unplayable level, as soon as i close Teamspeak it rockets back up to around 80. does anyone have any idea what the problem is and how i can fix it because i cannot play without Teamspeak its a must-have.

thanks in advance

What are your computer specs?

Same story here. Nothing to do with specs. Just started happening after playing 10- 15 min.

Ports opened in router and windows firewall.

Game = COD 2.

thats not completely true. If your computer is a somewhat older model ( and no im not going to give dates, because it cant be linked to a date) You could get lag and fps drop when running TS.

On my server i could play BF2, but as soon as i opened up TS, wether in the tray or not, it started lagging.. It aint a bandwidth problem back then, but i had a cheap vidcard and just 1GB memory. So yes, lag and fps drop can be the issue when having a lower spec system..

I've used teamspeak for years, and it started doing the same thing to me about a week ago for not really a good reason. I had been playing for an hour or two and then, Bam.....I started coasting like on a surf board, or it wouldn't seem to react at all... I would get a jump on someone and they would have a full 2 seconds before they reacted and shot, and my gun wouldn't dare shoot. You can understand my frustration, because i have a decent machine by todays standards.
Nvidia 7900 gt oc
2 gig dual channel system mem pc 3200
AMD 3.8 64 939pin set
Pretty cool (as in temperature) case
Hard drives are a few years old, but they've been really good ones----which would be the only thing that i could think of that my be causing the interaction somehow....

Anyways sorry to get on that rant there but i had gone a week without teamspeak and it's quite irritating :P Although I'll try setting the priorities and seeing if that will help in my case.

Hi new here but I am having the same problem with a old game Mohaa Speahead & Breakthrough .My FPS are in the 200 range until I launch TS then they drop to 23 & 35 making it impossible to play ,if I turn TS off they raise right back to their normal rates .I have other members in our clan that are having the same issues.I sure wish there is was a fix for it because it's mandatory for all our members to use TS and for me it's no fun .I turned off TSO and adjusted Nhancer 1000 different ways also killed programs in the background but to no avail it makes no difference.
I have a fast system so I don't think that is a issue .

Problems started recently when I reinstalled XP Pro and reinstall TS
before it was working fine

So it should be a drivers problem.
Did You reinstall all drivers from bundle or download fresh ones from interget?
Chipset inf drivers, audio and video drivers?
