Hi all, i've change my router (an old conceptronic) with a NETGEAR dg834gt just few hours ago. I've config all settings and i've open the ports for the services like TS port (on 8768 UDP). Before changing router all goes allright, now some users can connect to my server (under debian) and some others cannot. Why? Why some can connect and some other can't?? Help me please :(
The people who can't connect receive the "maybe the serv is offline" message like the server is offline, but it doesn't.

On some routers port forwarding is not enough you also may need to set a firewall rule in the router as well

All is set correctly! I added services with port and port type (udp or tcp) and I've updated the firewall rules with the services and the lan server IP.. All is correct!! Some users can enter to my server, but sometimes they can't.. I'm gonna be fool
the old router was excellent for that kind of use... Why that new can't be like the old one whyyyy :(

from inside LAN the server ip is static on 192.168.1.1 port 8768 from outside I use a DUC dynamic update client on no-ip, the IP is syncronized with name (atlantax.sytes.net:8768)

I don't see the first option multicast pass through on my router

so you don't see any problem?? That's so strange.. You're one of the lucky people who can connect on TS, much other people cannot.. Just right now, there's nobody on the server.. I Wonder why....... Any other ideas?

Yah I'm having the same problem with my server now as well, I was able to have 8 log in, but one couldn't and would get either the bad response error or could not connect error. I'm confused about this as well. I untarred the whole thing under root, chmod 751 the linux_server and the startscript file so that I can use the files under a different user, should I have untarred and updated under the user instead of root? I also updated the linux_server, but didn't have a problem before, just now I have the problem... so its kinda confusing. I myself will probably be working on this later on tonight to see if I had done something wrong somewhere. I'll keep you posted if anything works for me.
