I'm using Kubuntu with a Plantronics DSP-100 USB Headset. I've set the TS client to use dsp1, and all works well while testing in local test mode. I can speak and hear myself. When I connect to a server, I can here the engage and disengage messages , but the mic will not activate. No green light, no voice.

Any clues? Is this a bug in TeamSpeak or is it on my end somehow? I've tried a previous version, but I get a "codec not supported" error message.

Me..

I do have exactly the same problem.
I have
OS: Debian
Alsa

I start with
aoss teamspeak

In the "local test mode" everything works fine - I can hear my own voice and the green lamp flashes when I talk into the microphone.

When I connect to a teamspeak server I can hear the voice of other users but nobody can hear mine. The green lamp no longer flashes when I talk into the micophone.

When I disconnect and try "local test mode" again, everything works fine.

Any help is truly appreciated
