I had a perl mod I had wrote to restart the server every night at midnight it looks like I might send the mod to the archive if things are going this well on developement.

woohoo another update, and i was just trying to get the record on longest running ts server without reboot. :D
does this version work with mysql? the version ts2 server comes with works with mysql fine and so do all the others until it comes to the creation of servers. did anyone actually get mysql to work with this or even previous binaries 100% successful?

I'm currently using the default ones. (With modifications mentioned @ this (http://forum.goteamspeak.com/showthread.php?t=26982) thread.)

what sql files do i have to replace becuase if i replace them all the main server duplicates over all of them... Wait actually this is not the problem. this is the creating server problem. where i cant create a server. without an error. that also inculdes the privlileges are messed up
i have a question
are you guys going to package together a real build of the server in the future so we dont have people running the old package version and not checking to update the binary?
this binary are the updates. Nothing other has been changed. other than a few fixes and tweaks done to the actual software. if you downloaded the server installer. all you do with these is replace the exe of the server_windows.exe file

I guess this is not going to happen while the new server versions are still in the BETA state. However, I'm not a TeamSpeak 2 developer so it's not my decision.
you guys can just decide that its not in beta any more :)
ive not seen any stability issues whatsoever with this version

(Or extensionless for linux...)
Anyways, works good for me so far, though my server has extremely low activity. Good work!
in fact, if you wanted to supress some of these false client attacks then you could even require the new server package be used with a new client package as well and incriment the version numbers for both. iirc there was a time a long while ago where there was a forced client update (well not "forced" but you couldnt use the old client on the new server)

Wow, that's one of the best ideas for Teamspeak that I've heard in a long time. It would be really cool. The only thing is that someone skilled could somehow emulate the sending of a client version...
btw i seen a file called whitelist.txt any idea what it dose?

We know a bit more than you. :p

This list contains IPs which are excluded from the servers bruteforce protection. Add a new line with your IP and you won't be banned for entering incorrect passwords.
That's at least what this list is supposed to do. Did I already mention that we are talking about BETA software?

well obviously they would need to do something more sophisticated than just upping the version numbers to ensure that the client was legit, that was just my attempt at keeping it simple :P
Hmmm... do wildcards work with this?
I have absolutely no idea. But according to our TeamSpeak 2 developer, they don't.
Hmmm, it doesn't seem to work at all. I've added my IP, and even restarted the server program. (Linux) Still get banned for bad pw.

May we enter hostnames in the file as well? This would work great for those of us on a dynamic IP address (i.e. at home) but use a (static) domain name that is updated via Dynamic DNS (http://www.google.com/search?q=Dynamic%20DNS).
If the whitelist does not currently support domain names, would you please add this functionality? :)
Yeah well, if IPs don't work, then I think getting that to work would be a priority.
I appreciate the update to TS very much. I've gotten it installed and am glad for the security updates.
One thing I'll mention is that as a new TS operator I found it a bit hard to determine what to do with the linux file. Those experienced here know that the 'server_linux' file just needs to be placed in the correct directory. I had to search the forums for that information.
Its not that big of a deal, but then, neither is putting the 'server_linux' file in an archive along with a .txt file with instructions for noobs like me. You could throw in a change log and make it even more useful.
Again, thanks for the updates and I hope the suggestion is appreciated. :)
Is there a service binary of this build for windows?
No, sorry. The service binary hadn't updated as yet.
But you can use FireDaemon yourself.

Linux has its advantages...
There is a bug in the Web Admin control panel after deleting a server. I'm not sure how long the bug has existed as I couldn't find any reports of it on the TeamSpeak forums though; I just wanted to make sure that people know about the problem.
Version Information:
TeamSpeak Server: v2.0.23.15
OS: Linux - CentOS v4.4 (Final)
Procedure to reproduce the problem and its subsequent result:
Access Web Admin.
Click Server List.
Click Delete for a server.
Click yes to confirm.
Click CONTINUE.
Problem appears because the "%%OK_URL%%" variable is incorrect with the following value:
"choice_box.html?choice_title=please%20choose"
Because of the above, the CONTINUE link directs the user to a page showing the following:
please choose
-
Suggested Fix:
It would not appear if it linked to one of the following instead of the choice_box.html again:
"index.html"
"server_manager_servers.html" (I think this makes more sense because it is where the administrator was at before deleting a server so that they continue where they left off.)
Can I use this or the above version of Teamspeak if running Mac OS X with INTEL and Bootcamb/Windows Parallels Desktop?

In theory, you should be able to.
In theory, you should be able to.
But I want to know which one fo these two to use.
I'm having problems with the windows version of teamspeak on my virtual machine, so I wanted to know if this would work better
Have you tried to use the real package instead of the updated binary?
