I know the current client of TS has automatic normalisation listed as a "feature". However, in our team's experience since switching to TS from the other guys, we like everything about TS except the inability to adjust individual users volume. I imagine this is a broken record request but, the automatic normalisation does not seem to function all that well. It would be GREAT if it did. The concept is excellent. I would set my output volume to a certain level and everyone, regardless of thier individual mic volumes, would sound the same. Users of TS know this isn't always the case. One guy is always too loud and one is always too low.

It is obvious that the ability to measure and control the actual output value of someone's volume is available in other products. This incoming level can be increased or decreased at the client level. However, it would be much better if it were done at the server level. This way volume levels are already "automaticly normalized" as they are served to the clients. The client then only needs to control how loud or soft they want TS to be as a whole on thier computer. This would eliminate having to adjust sound card settings on users machines for mics and speaker outputs. If someone had a weak output signal from their mic, as with my sound card (all the way maxed), the server would boost the signal to the normalized level before it reached other clients. If someone was too loud and clipping thier mic output, then they would still have to turn it down but the gray hi/low middle area would be eliminated. So would the ever ongoing tutorial of how to adjust your mic output for new members joining the server. (You know, the new guy joins and your headset causes your brain to hemmorage as you yell TURN IT DOWN TURN IT DOWN! whilst throwing said headset off...) Enough said.

Anyway, TeamSpeak developers, hear our cry! You have the superior product! Now, make it better! Give us more codecs to choose from, do something to addresss this "automatic normalisation"/volume level issues, and please fix the interface scripts for the newer versions of MySQL. The answers are in the forums but, they should be in the installs. BTW, what a fantastic combination TS/MySQL! However, there is still a little too much tweaking on the installation for the novice users with no scripting or programming experience. Get this product to where clients have nothing to do but install it and use it with little to no adjustment and you can bet you'll catch the attention of the business sectors looking for mass user communications. Headsets and TeamSpeak servers are a lot cheaper than 800 conference call numbers.

As an admin using your product for a group of gamers, Thank You. The very least we can do is provide feedback and suggestions to make this a better commercial product. Keep up the good work.

Cheers!

I think, TS3 is supposed to have more databases supported by default
