I bet they was happier when they couldn't hear you at all rather than hear you screwing. Only thing I can think of is checking to see if your +20 dB boost is on in your windows microphone settings.

Hey Flappy how did it go?

I found in Windows XP x64 my Mic volume worked best at 100% with Mic boost turned off. On Vista x64 though this setting which was the default didn't work well. First I had to turn voice activation right down to the most sensitive end so I could hear myself in the test loop back in TS. This had a bad side effect though. Now when I had a loud sound in my headphones such as the changing channels sound, it would leak from the headphones into the Mic as the sensitivity was so high.

In the end I turned Mic boost on and set the record volume down to 30%. Doing the loop back test I now hear myself alot louder. I can set the sensitivity just above the middle also which in turn stops the sound leaking from my headphones and transmitting to others.

The problem I now have is trying to get TSO to work with Vista x64 and BF2142

Hey Flappy. I might be able to help you out.

I've just bought a new laptop with vista and it was new to me too.. But I will to give you the "dutch" terms, since I'm Dutch too(Belgian tbh, but you know what I mean).

Open your "Configuratiescherm".
Next click on "Klassieke weergave".
Then search for something called IDT Audio (at least that is what it is called here!!)
You should see a window with microphone settings though... If not, you have to find something else with audio in it.
When I go to "bezig met opnemen" I can see the mic settings. It allows me to change the bar to 20db Boost.

Let me know if it worked or not... Or if you have any other questions, you can always PM me (in dutch even) or Email me.

Yeah, so? I don't check this forum much. And I had a friend with the same problem that's how I got here. I don't always check the date when the topic is still (almost) on top of a forum -_-

BS

You have to go 5 pages in to get any topic from 2007.

Plus the last post was in March of 07. Not anywhere near the end of the year.
