Choppy voices

I have been using ts for a long while now and all of a sudden, it like freezes up and repeats whatever was currently being said. Like it someone was saying "choppy" it would end up "choooooooooooo" and never get to the "py" lol

My computer is free of spyware(Spy Sweeper 2007) and virus free(Norton Internet Security 2007).

Recommendations or solutions?

Are you running other programs when it freezes?
