I JUST set this server up a few minutes ago so tell me if I did something wrong or didn't set up something I needed to please

Well I give my server IP address to 3 of my friends to put in the server address for quick connect, and it says it doesnt exist every time, but I am in this server myself and the IP works for me..

The server IP says it is 192.168.1.3:8767

Does anyone know what the problem is?

My server's name is Graal TeamSpeak Server

There should be two IPs.

One is LAN and the other is WAN.

That is you LAN IP.

If you do not know your WAN address.

Can someone try it please?

btw I downloaded the server here http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads&id=3a

I am thinking I downloaded the wrong thing, could that be it? I did the right platform, and I did the site 1 thing

I think I did something wrong somewhere..maybe my IP is being masked or something? Where could I find my real IP ?

no no and NO.
1. not working I tested it.
2. Do you have access to that router? How are you connected to the internet ??
because the IP begins with 192.168.x.x are private and THEY CAN't be on the internet, they are for LANs . So you are in LAN with computer-router and he is with connection to the internet. He provide you the internet of course. But
// NC
3. he didn't provide you port redirect ! (Or you didn't set the redirect)

So if you can (have access to router OR you can ask if the admin of that router can set for you redirect port 8767/udp )
If you cannot hmm
try to use some existing TS servers on the internet
OR
register on some webhosting services ( I mean kind of Virtual Server where you get Linux distribution and root access, so you can install TS ..... but you pproblem can be traffic limit if you want to use it very often)
OR
use Hamachi (something like VPN or in simple and stupid say LAN over internet betwen you and users wich have hamachi too...) when you use this don't forget to send them hamachi IP address !! to use
OR
build VPN tunnels to your friends

for next time did you search first before ask ?

You have to forward the UDP port 8767 to the computer that is running the server and unblock that port from your firewall. That will solve your problem.

To test your server you can use this. Located in the FAQs of the site. http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com/?page=step1

There is no point in mentioning VPN as he will still have problems with ports and that method is more complicated and tedious.

all routers are 192.168.1.1 and you will connect to your own router
then go firewall and press add port and at the udp 8767 << if im right
and activate it and save the options now it has to work else i dont know:p

2 BHKai : I forgot that address ...
2 BHKai : yeah maybe it is complicated for someone like this kind of user

2 sateaapje : NOT necesary the routers should have the IP in the oposite end of the network (maybe sayed badly) I mean address 192.168.1. 250-254 mostly but it depends on the network So this address I gave expeting netmask 255.255.255.0

the best way is to take a look to your network settings you should see here the gateway <IP_address> that is the router.

I don't know witch router device/pc you have so this maybe help:
somewhere somebody ask to how configure it ... because he did and it woudn't work.
He have got idea to post a small picture. ;; I answered ;; he: thanks ....
