I have the exact problem except I'm running XP. I built a new PC and installed everything. TS ran good for 4 days. All the sudden, I went from one TS server to another and had a red x on my name. Well, tried to fix it and nothing. So, I installed my audio drivers (which I forgot to do first) and the red X was gone. But NOTHING I do will get the green light to illuminate? I've tried EVERYTHING. Multiple reinstalls, different versions, etc.
Also, my microphone now will NOT pick up in the windows tests. I cannot make the volume meter move at all. This only happened after the problem started? Also, hypothetically, would NOT having a microphone hooked up prevent the green light from lighting up?
ANYONE PLEASE HELP. This is driving me crazy
TIA

Ok, check to make sure you have voice rights in the server. Also check your sound settings and make sure that your mic is turned on. When you goto edit a mic setting there is normally 3 options make sure the correct one is turned on.

Thanks crazy,
But I assure you, if it were something that simple I would have it fixed by now. I do however, have a theory, and will confirm or reject it tomorrow.
