Hello,
As one who using teamspeak for a long time I saw many times people who flooded some servers and stuck it with many subchannels then no one can join the server anymore, and the only way to fix this problem was to delete the server and create new one.
these people made any script or application which automatically opens subchannels in seconds, they may configure it like the server's flooding limits and then they dont get "excess flood", 5 min tempban.
my idea to avoid this thing is to limit the amount of subchannels per channel to 25 or something like this, then it won't stuck the server. (or atleast give us an option in the webmod to choose if we want use it or not | or maybe let us to limit the subchannels like we want it will be)
my "half solution" right now is to cancel from CA the option of creating subchannels, but still... I dont want to cancel this option, I want that people in my server will can open subchannels by themselves but the danger of flooding not letting me to perform it.
please think about it while making your next server's version, it really necessary and not only for me, for many other people.
thanks, welter.

* if you have any other ideas to solve this problem, post it here.

ts2perlmod, Anti Flood Deamon. Both work perfect, and with the TS2perlmod you should be safe.

how can it protect the server from subchannels flood attempts?

It blocks people from giving more then X commands in X time. You can either choose to kick or ban those people.

This is the forum thread on TS2PerlMod, its long but wirth the read.

I myself have been reading through all of them messages before actually downloading and installing it.

Update your server to the latest BETA version.

Then remove the permission to set the subchannel flag for unregistered and registered users. Most users don't need subchannels anyway. And if they need them, they can still ask a ServerAdmin to allow them.
