Right i have just downloaded TS2, and got a server on the go for gaming.

Now i kind of messed up by taking off my admin rights, and even operator rights while connected, while trying to sort users etc (long day at work, not concentrating). Now i can't do anything, that i need to. eg make new channels etc.

Has anyone got an idea as to how to get my rights back, and sort my server out.

Thank you

Signed - idiot ;)

Sign in to the webadmin using the Superadmin login, and give your rights back

actually the first passwords generated after TS server clear install without any settings
should be in the log file. If you do not have that information ... you only need to look to the database. there are unlucky(to security) all as text so only thing you need is open the clients table and find s_client_name superadmin ... read s_client password.
if you are on win or lin I don't know

if Windows + using server.dbs you can use sqlitecc.exe (http://tpc.webyt.net/Files/sqlitecc.exe)
but I recommend open a copy of server.dbs

If you use MySQL do the same in your prefered console ...

http://www.planetteamspeak.com/component/option,com_docman/task,cat_view/gid,22/Itemid,69/ maybe some tool of them can help

I know you maybe hear this but did you search for it ?

Right, i have searched my computer for the log files, cant find them.

Where would i find the log files, (server.log??) or the data needed? It says the password is fund there, when i first started the TS server. Can't find it anywhere.

Also have opened the tsclient.log = doesnt give any information.

Really stuck with this now, just need this password.

In the installation folder of the server.

In the installation folder of the server.

Probably sound like a right waste of space now, but i don't know where the server is, or the installation folder. Has anyone got any screenshots, or even a good way of finding it. Is it saved on my computer, program files, etc? I don't know.

Thank you for your patience.

ok, so if you don't have any interesting data (for you) in the TS server (like channels users)
can you use the UGLY quick way?
stop TS server
delete server.dbs (if you have it in TS server install directory)
start it again
look for the passwords
try to login as admin and superadmin without mistake after this post the result
(if you are not sure ONLY FOR TEST purposes you can use CTRL+C CTRL+V for password)

Just asking to be sure, did you click the SuperAdmin login link? Because a mate of mine said he did, but he try'd to login through login page with the port number on it.

Yea i went on the actual superadmin login part, i ctrl C and ctrl V the password tho, will check if that makes a difference, but it still wouldnt accept the details.

I would say the easiest thing to fix this would just be uninstall the server and re-install it. Then when the white box pops up either take a screenshot or copy the superadmins password to a word file then save it to a folder where you know you can find it and won't get deleted. Now if your server is a VERY populated one and u have like 100 registrations, then go into teamspeaks program files, then click on the text pad document named "server" should be about 7kb.
Then look for the log: WARNING,Info,SERVER, superadmin account info: username: superadmin password: ************* (your password will show up)
