I know many have posted this, but i could not find a real answer that has worked, i've browsed these forums for 2 days looking for an answer.
I am running the following files.
Server: 2.0.32.60 (i've tried the updated executables as well)
Client: 2.0.20.1 (i've tried the updated exacutables as well)
These are both ran on a windows xp machine.
Server is currently 'behind' a router - with that machine's internal IP setup as a DMZ.
i'm trying to connect w/a pc that is OUTSIDE of the router.
I can log in, no problems, as an annon, with server assigns nickname. i can register w/no problems, but if i log out, and attempt to log back in, i get the error message "This user is already logged in on the server". I have heard the suggestion of trying to continueally connect, because of router dropping packets, so i attempted to connect for a whole half hour, at least twice every minute.
I saw another post about using a server db tool to 'fix/manage' superadmin users, that didn't work either.
I have even tryed to forward udp 8767 to that machine's ip, but i got the same responce as well. (and why do that if that machine is setup as a dmz?)
I am at a loss, any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
mystika
