No
You need to put the custom ports in your router if applicable, and then forward them to your machine running the TS server

Make sure you are handing out the correct IP.
External users (users that are not on your network) get the external IP address, not the server IP address.
This is why port forwarding is so important.

What ports did you add to the virtual server, or what ports did you forward and where did you put the virtual server (what IP did you forward too)?
i fowarded all my ports corectly as i called my isp and they made sure i fowarded all my correct ports this still did not work.also they said that there could be a problem with the team speak server itself
Have you made exceptions in your firewall for the ports that you have forwarded?

There are two ways that I can try to help you out.
1: Jump on my TS and I will talk you through it. (easiest)
2: Give my your External IP and your servers LAN ip and i will type up a configuration walk through that you can follow.
Let me know and i will help you out as best I can.

swift, check your virus protection.
Close all virus protection you have, so that nothing is in the way. Then go here and chk to see if it works! http://ts2test.planetteamspeak.com/?page=step1
yes my virus protection is off and sorry devon i will be on tonight went out of town
try this...
open the Server.ini file in the root directory of your TS Server.
In the server.ini file there is a boundtoIP= line. Put in the address of the PC that is running TS server in that line. Save and restart the server.
