View Full Version : Teamspeak bloked in Firewall
Hi
Last weak they made some changes in the firewall at my schooll.... This also blocked the posibility of loggin on to TS....
So i went to our administrator, and got him to open the following ports:
8767 UDP
14534 TCP
51234 TCP
And the port from the IP to the server, 8882 (UDP)... And i also got told that i should try to get this query port oppened 51235
But still i can't log on to TS when im on my schoolls network....
Any ports i have missed or anything i've forgotten? I really need some help, because i need to be able to log on to our TS server when playing World of Warcraft
At school?
Are you running a server on the school network or are you trying to connect to a server outside of the schools network?
Yeah... I'm living on a College right now... and on the college we use the Schools network...
So when im trying to connect to my guilds TS server (wich is outside the schools network) i get the error with No reply from server. Maybe the server is down or TS is not running on it..
But i know that the server is running so thats not the reason why i can't connect...

Those ports are the TS Server ports - Opening them for a client wont help
Its probably something to do with UDP ports being blocked, as most places do it.
You dont need the query port opening, as its not going to help you

Mmm kay... so what should i then do to get my client working so i can log on to our TS?

Get an outbound UDP allowance on whatever port the servers on

If it's the same as getting the ports openned in the firewall i've allready got that done....

That was for inbound. Someone could access those ports to get on a computer in the server. You need to use the UDP port to access a computer outside of the network.

Check if your internet provider didn't blocked it. Because they often do this, even while they shouldn't and they do not say about it. I got the same problem, and I'll try to unblock those :
- 8767
- 8882
Guess that It'll work.

The client does not use just one port. It uses a range of ports chosen randomly.

You should open incoming connections from that remote port to Your local ports higher than 1023.
