You can run multiple servers one one computer.

1. You only need to forward one port for each Your server. 8767/udp for default server.
2. If You can make only 6 portforwards on Your router... Thats Your router problem.

Can you get your router to forward ranges rather than just individual ports??

Or use DMZ (demilitarized zone) option? (many routers support it)

Sure, suggest the guy to open up his pc for the wide bad world.....

If you are going to suggest this kind of things atleast give a warning with it.

I have not had a lot of luck with the DMZ function on my router. S0 I just forward the 2 ports I use for the 2 TS servers I run. Works just great!:)

I would never suggest using DMZ function...ever...not even if you are running 15 servers on the same computer.

If the computer in question has a decent software firewall and is patched up to date, it should be fine

Anyway You should have good firewall and know how to manage it.
However I can add warning in each my post explaining that all my answers is just about current and exact problem and not touch any side-effects, related or depend on it.
I mean, if You trying to host some services on Your home computer, You by default know what You doing and what is your risk of direct interaction with internet (even without Your own control).
But that explanation is just too long and theme for separate book. So i simple skip it.

Most people only read the part DMZ, and open it up without knowing what it does, or bother to look into it. Thats why i always warn with it, if i even suggest opening up DMZ.
If you forward all ports right and it still doesnt work you can open up DMZ to see if it will work, but close right after testing again. If it still doesnt work there is an issue with either the server IP / forward or a issue on the server pc itself.

Must be the type of people who enable WLAN on their router and don't care about reading the manual and enabling encryption and disabling SSID broadcasting.

One day I thought it would be funny to take a laptop with me and see if I can find any open wireless networks. The most difficult part was to choose one of them as there were so many.

Most common names: WLAN, Netgear, Router, Medion.

I don't know why I'm still paying for my internet connection. All I have to do is to buy a WLAN adapter for my PC.

Even better is that some do not change their default password and it does not take long to lock them out and be able to access to their internal network.

Or if your a torrenter, use their connections to supplement your bandwith

Leech the hell out of their connections....
