View Full Version : cant get it to do test site
I have installed the server software. I am now trying to access the test sites. It will not connect.
Do I have to also install the client software?
Under SUPPORT; GETTING STARTED: If installed correctly I should be able to connect to the test site. 1-2-3. :(
How do I know if installed correctly. I want to use this for DUNGEON SEIGE 2.
Thanks for your input. :)

Check your port forwarding settings and firewall settings.
What do you mean by saying "I should be able to connect to the test site"? I don't know a test site of the server.
If you mean the webadmin, then check your portforwarding (as BHKai already mentioned).
Ports which needs to be forwarded:
8767 UDP (and every other port of the virtual servers)
14534 TCP (Webadmin, optional, only needed if people from outside have to administrate your server)
51234 TCP (TCP Query, optional, same reason like Webadmin port)
To begin with. I installed an older version (TS 2.0.32.60)and (Server 2.0.20.1), not one of the BETA's or BINARY's. And I found online all the *.dll files it said was missing. And it apears that it is up and running.
Now to a new problem. On the left side of your screen when in the TS HOME page you see many buttons. Go to SUPPORT section and press the button GETTING STARTED. When that page comes up, you will see what is below.

Now I go to the 1st one "TEAMSPEAK PUBLIC 1". I am in the default channel, their are several other players here. I can HEAR "NEW PLAYER" when people join and when they leave "PAYER LEFT". I can not hear them talking and I can not talk to them.
So what do I need to do to talk and listen?
HY
The .dll files should have already been there. Where did you download from?
So what do I need to do to talk and listen?
Voice Rights. The default channel on Public 1 is moderated (M). You can't talk without voice rights.
Create your own channel or join an existing channel which does not have this limitation or which has ChannelAdmins or Moderators in it. They can grant you voice rights.
I suggest you better read the manual next time.
BHKai: I did a search for them by name.
Bastian: You are correct as for reading the manual. I usually do that sort of thing. You caught me on the rare occasion I didn't. I am going to stand in the corner now on time out. :D
Thanks all for input. And we also have it working on friends 'puter. So now I don't have to drag laptop to her house to play.
