Alright, so I'm on my TS server with some friends. All of a sudden a guy calling himself S2 Server Admin joins up. I ban him after he sends me a message saying he works for TeamSpeak. It has no effect, he simply rejoins. This happens about a half dozen times and then he starts spouting something about a case of purported racism three days ago on the server, and that the victim was banned. I check the log, nobody but him has been banned since the server was rebooted four days earlier. He did however give me a case ID, "Case ID#VAB288221". Trying to make himself sound legit I guess.

So, the details of the hack. Each time I right-clicked him to ban, I got a an error, I believe it was a rich text error. I could move him but only after I had done this and highlighted him. Him and his buddies were impervious to the ban. Furthermore, by their names they didn't have unregistered or registered or server admin, they had no ()'s and nothing after their name. I don't know how they did it, but I shut down my server at the end of it and just upgraded to the latest version, as well as putting a password on the server.

Just a warning to anyone with no password and an earlier server version, these are the names that the jokers go by.

Also, make sure your client is up to date

There were some bugs/exploits that were fixed in the latest server and client beta releases

Im getting at least 3 people a day whom I cannot right click on. I'm getting quite worried, they join, and then leave after 2 min.s. I have a feeling they are getting my ip and then leaving. I cannot boot them due to rich text. Can't you just add the exception to names to allow rich text files to fix this? I don't know how to do that, but thats what my friend said to do.

I have download them and then nothing changed so I uninstalled and redownloaded and still have the same version,
Version:
2.0.20.1

I heard it goes to version 2.0.33.1 or something. Not sure, but how do I get these updates to work. I feel incredibly stupid considering a pretty good with computers, except for this...

Download the last one in the windows section of the downloads page. Then place that file in the TS server directory replace the file that is in there.

Thanks, you helped my struck of stupidity. I have no idea why I didn't try that, I mean, I have to do it with so many other things, lol. Thanks man.
