Ts2 Lags when in cs 1.6

my ts2 is fine untill i join cs 1.6 it works fine on every other game i play such as cs:s and dod:s, it starts having major lag wen people talk i cant understand a word they say.

ive tried changing codex reinstalling sound card and ts2.

any help would be great

What spec processor are you on aswell?


Does your ping shoot up in CSS?

Or is it hardware lag?

ive just done a speed test and it says my upload speed is 346 Kbps

i have a p4 3.20ghz with 1gb of ram

it only happens in 1.6 and no other game which i find wierd

That might be your bottleneck, your upload speed... Because both TS and CS uses UDP to transmit there information.

And for those that want to yell that CS uses TCP, come one and give it to me.. :D I got a nice packet capture showing almost 80 seconds of almost only UDP packages beeing send and received while playing CS:S

It might just be something to do with CS 1.6 being OLD
