Since yesterday evening I wanted to play some games and started TS. But it appears that I can't talk anymore. When I join TS my microphone appears to be automatically muted, and it is not a command as I cannot get it off through the Self menu. However, when I shut down that server and automatically reconnect, the first channel I join after the welcome channel show me having a green light.

But, the push to talk button does not work. It does not light up. Same goes for Ventrilo. Ventrilo gave the error that the sound input device cannot be used. I tried it with a different microphone and I got the same error. The sound input device 'might already be in use'. I also can't use push to talk in Ventrilo, it also doesnt light up. Both the mics I used appeared fine as I could hear myself through them when I talked through it. I used TS almost every day.

Now I looked through my sound settings, and found that the bluetooth adapter for PCs I installed on the same evening my mic started bitchin, appears to have some influence in the Start>control panel>sounds and audio devices>properties>hardware panel. I use windows XP ofcourse. In that hardware panel there is this Bluetooth AV audio and Bluetooth SCO Audio, with the same type designation as my Realtek normal audio onboard device, as well as my audio and videocodecs.

Could it be that these bluetooth drivers are messing up my mic, 'holding' it for my purpose giving the 'already in use' error, or is there something different that I have to look into.

Edit: Ok, I solved the problem for teamspeak by manually choosing the drivers and jacks, as well as using direct instead of wave. The bluetooth drivers are also to be chosen in Settings > Options. Weird. Ventrilo still doesnt want to listen :S
