View Full Version : No Server Connection
I have downloaded the client/server TS. I am still not able to get anyone to connect.
I have:
1. Made a static IP
2. Made a forwarding port open 8767
3. Opened my firewall to allow TS
When those things did not work I also called both my router provider and my ISP they both verified that the changes were done correctly.
People trying to log on are being told that the server is not online. I have ran the test for the server and all are red, so it is not working properly. I have followed the suggested links, but i am still not able to get it to work
I am able to get in and it works for me, but not for others.
Any other suggestions?

Did you give them your WAN IP? Sounds to like you handed out the LAN IP...
I actually had friends try both ip's. I reverified the wan IP and that it was in working order, as a static and verified with my router provider that the program was compatible. I also created a bridge as I read that the gateway may not always work and a bridge would have to be created. I did that after no sucess with the gateway.
Is there a chance I need a different IP for UK users? The ones testing were from UK. Is there a difference there? with them being able to connect with a usa wan?

Nope, a WAN IP should be accesible by anyone anywhere..
Could you maybe make some screenshots of the setup in your router? And verify that the forwarding goes to the right internal IP?
I think the connection is blocked somewere near the router..
If I remember my states correctly, Washington is pretty far from the UK. It could be that there they are not getting a good ping.

Nah, or they have areal shit ass connection.. I have a 80 / 90 ping to the AFNation teamspeak in Dallas, and im a bit further then the UK.
So i dont think that would be the problem.

And anyone who had dial-up would not have a router...if they did ya know it would just be kaos fighting over the phone line...

And how about a home network? Without router no normal network..
Ok, it is possible to make a network without a router, but a pain in the butt...
But if the topic starter never post here again we will never know. ;)
