Ok now grant it Ima not the sharpest tool in the shed I'll be the 1st 2 admit. Knowing this I tend to do my research, downside is of course that if I have no clue what Im looking for it takes way too long. Lets get down to the question / answer.. is there some kind of add on ( looked in dev section and 3rd party section didnt see anything that I thought would fit my requirements. Def nothing in the FAQ ) to make it so that TS is more along the lines of an instant messanger type application without losing the control that TS has ? I interact with about 100 individuals and we dont all speak the same lang., however we all manage to type / read enough english to get what we need stated across. We still want all the control in the voice features of TS but we also want a way we dont have to right click every time we need to type msgs to each other since 90% are for the entire channel anyways. The other 10% is fine to select individuals right click and send a privy msg.
I strongly believe that TS is the application that can fit our needs outside of this set back so much we are currently renting a server from Holdouts since none of us are very computer savvy by any means to that degree. The ability to list things needing always to be visible via a channels description is great, the ability to have multi channels is awesome, the ability to control who can go where and have what privies is extremely important and is why we opted to test out TS. Lack of knowledge time and skills however is the reason I am afraid we may have to search elsewhere for a program that is abit more text based unless we are able to fig how to get TS workin for our needs.
In conclusion this knucklehead is asking if there is anyway to make it so basically we can just click on lower portion of the TS window ( where msgs currently display that are typed anyways) and have the text go directly to current channel? Or is TS too voice / audio based for what we are lookin to aquire ? Surely there has to be some kind of add on to modify for our purposes. It seems on 20-11-2005, 12:28 BFarmer1980 asked a similiar ?? without any responses.
