Here's the problem, I start teamspeak and its fine I can hear and talk to everybody, as soon as I start BF2 a few minutes into the game I cant hear anybody.
Alt tabbing out of the game and looking in the teamspeak window I can see my transmit light on when I'm talking but I get no sounds back, even the notification sounds disappear.
Quitting teamspeak and re-starting is out of the question, because it refuses to load up properly after this, task manager shows the teamspeak process running but nothing loads only a re-boot will allow me to re-start it properly.

I have tried running teamspeak in admin mode and Win XP sp2 compatibility mode and used tried the beta teamspeak.exe but I still cant solve this problem.

I'd appreciate any help if anyone knows something else I can try.

Spec: 32bit Vista Home Premium, AMD 64 x2 5600, 2GB pc6400, 8800GTS, X-Fi Xtreme Gamer, all drivers up to date.

Does BF2 have ingame chat? Try disabling it and make sure that you are using direct for the TS client.

Other thing you can try is setting the programs to different affinities, but I have never had to do it.
