Mic not working in TS

Hello, i'm having trouble getting my mic to work in TS. I tested it in windows accesories and it passed, so i know the mic is good. I think there is a setting off somewhere. Please help.

Are you getting any errors at the bottom of the TS client?

What recording device do you have selected for setting>options?

If any, when you select the others do they work?

I have Windows vista with a Soundblaster Audigy SE sound card that works great. My mic has been tested and works but I am unable to get it to work with TS/vent. It will show up as me saying something with a talking icon but no one can hear me and I can hear them. I have the mic set up as the default and all my settings are maxed. I've tried everything suggested and not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions?

i had the same problem but was fixed quite easy i had to go in settings, options and check to force 8 bit and then my mic worked just fine

can you tell me where exactly to find the 8-bit thing? thats the only thing i havent tried

Go to Settings -> Options -> Sound Devices Tab and in the Compatibility box check that box.

I believe that is where ayla2656 mentioned. Hope it works for you.
