Hi,
I play an online game (Ragnarok, a MMORPG) and TS is a good program to use with it.
Everything seems to work only one thing doesnt work, when i have my game open (in a 800x600 window, my screen is like 1024x768) i cant talk to other people.
I set up my TS so i have to press alt for speaking. When i only have TS open, and i press on alt, everything works, people can hear me.
When im in the game, people cant hear me and you can see i dont get connection or something because you dont see a light green circle near my name, meaning, im speaking.
(see Screens).
Now other people play the same game, have the same window open etc, and it works there. they can talk while playing the game.
The only thing i can come up that is the problem is my windows because all the other settings seem to be the same as the other people i talk to. I have got windows vista and the guy i check TS with, got XP.
Could it be that this is the problem and if so, how can i solve this problem?
If this isnt the problem, what is the problem and how can I solve it? :)

Thanks in advance

Chunky

The screens in which you can TS isnt working:
(I have editted the screens a bit, so the screens are only there to make my story a bit logical :P)

Here you can see me pressing alt, it is working:

Here you can see me pressing alt, while the game is open, but it doesnt work:

I tested some things a bit and Ts seems to work when i dont use a key to talk, so only at voice activation.
Still i would like to solve the problem for the ''push to talk'' while playing in game :).

Have you tried full screen with the game?
I think windows is waiting for another button to be pressed, because a lot of options use alt+something to work..

Well, you can play full screen mode, but than you cant alt tab between other screens, for example another client you have open of the game. Alt tabbing is a must for this game and therefor id rather not play full screen :).

What happens if you try another key?

Run TS as an admin.

Vista is a crap. Use XP or run TS under admin account.

Voice Activation.

Try Ctrl or shift key. Alt poor-responding key or often blocked by game input control.

I'm having the same problem. The button I assigned as my 'push to talk' activation key, is a button on the side of my mouse. Unused for anything else of course.

I activate with the TS window active, and it works (red circle etc)

Activate on Guild Wars (windowed) and it doesnt work. It doesnt work on any other window either - only an active TS window. (I maximised GW too).

I'd rather not have voice activation. I'd rather not maximise my game :P And its the same with any key or button I assign.
