  I am having a very difficult time logging in to my TS server I set one up for my Guild to use but i can not seem to log into it. I have spoken to the tech support for my moden/router co. and have the ports opend i have one open for my external and one for internal. I have located my server on the web list and try to connect to it I am getting the message ( no reply form server maybe the server is offline or maybe teamspeak is not running on it) the thing is i have it on and running.
Can someone please help me I have searched the forums for 3 days now and have been trying to get this thing going for 3 days now and still no luck. I have a Zoom ADSL X5 moden/router.
I have also turned off my windows firewall in hopes that it may have something to do with the problem but I still cannot connect. When I connet to a test server i have no problems at all. I know my client works as i used it before with a differnt guild.
I am no computer guru but i do kow my way around one fairly well.

I ran a TS connection test and got these results which is a little better than what i had been getting
Performing UDP test...
» Establish a connection with the server check
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server check
» Perform connection handshake x
» Retreive a list of active channels x

Performing TCP test...
» Establish a connection with the server x
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server x
» Retreive the servers global information x

Performing HTTP test...
» Establish a connection with the server x
» Verify that it is a TeamSpeak 2 server x
» Retreive the servers version information x

Go on the computer running the server and use 127.0.0.1 for the address.

What login information are you using. Do not need to know what password you are using.

I am using 72.147.129.102:8767 to try to log in it is under the websrver list under Lords of Khaos

Do not use your wan ip, most routers block you from doing that try either the lan ip, something like 192.168.1.100 or if you are on the computer running the server 127.0.0.1 or localhost. You do not have to add :8767 as TS client will go to that port if you have nothing after the ip address.

Go in the webadmin and make a user with a simple username and password and try to log in.

Also your server has a server password. You do not have to enter that password in if you are logging on as a registered user.

ok now the damn server keeps changing IP numbers and it will aloow one person to register and can log on but the other person registerd and it wont allow him to log in under his registerd name. I am about to scrap this TS server and go to vent there has to be an eisier way short of renting a server. I mean ciome on!!!!! Why in the blazes would it keep changing IP's? When it does everyone who is able to log on gets booted.

The server does not switch IP's Your connection does.

Use a dynamic DNS service..

Or do you mean the network IP? Then it still is nto the server, but your router. That changes the IP because most likely the leasetime has passed. Set a IP in your network settings.

Go to network settings, then right click on your adapter and select TCP/IP there. Then select properties and voila, give in your details.

I mean how do i set that up if i dont have a static ip address will the ip that i create stay that way or will it screw up my whole connection? this is alot mor complicated for a novice computer user just trying to set up a free server for his guild members to use to play a damn game. I mean if i need a static ip address i have to pay for it I may as well rent a friggin server and do away with all this headache and frustration.

OK to try and solve the problem my friend installed the TS2 server and started one on his computer he has the server up and running and i was able to get him to be able to log on himself, now the problem is I can find his server on the webserver list but cannot log in I am getting the no rply from server maybe the server is offline or maybe not running on it.
He has no router and all his firewalls are turned off so why would we be getting this message?

His modem could have a firewall or need to forward the ports. If he is on dsl this is most likely the cause.

it is an older moden I believe its a westell and it is a few years old at least 3 what do we do to forward the ports on it?

www.portforward.com for setting up port forwarding. They have westell guides.

www.Dyndns.com is pretty self explanatory. Just sign up and follow the instructions.
