I have an occasinoal problem (usually once or twice a day). My client sends what's been to described to be as a "horrid noise", a "god-awful noise", ect, minus a lot of explitives. I thought that I had it narrowed down to that it happened when I started a game (Lack of CPU power), and I would just restart Teamspeak to fix it. However it happens just randomly now, and with other programs that require nothing to run.

It happens so randomly though, and I'm more worried about getting it fixed just then than getting a permanant fix, so I can't narrow it down. Was wondering if any one had any suggestions on what it could be, or how to fix it.

Specs:

Windows XP
2.4GHz CPU
384MB RAM
Soundblaster Audigy
Sound runs through my headset, mic is on it too.

(Sorry for any spelling errors, it's late.)

Ya switching to direct sound should fix the problem, the same thing happened to me once and that fixed it

Just an update incase anyone wonders.

I had it set to DirectSound all along. Apparently, because of this, if anything else uses DirectSound, then it makes this noises. Restarting Teamspeak fixes the problem.
