after going through AV and firewall settings to make sure it wasn't either of those, I narrowed the problem down to TS.

My "system" process likes to spike from 2-10 when ts is running. Is there any known winNT services that TS conflicts with with a defult windows install?

os is WINXP pro SP2

It may be Your multimedia keyboard handling utility, some of them interfere with TeamSpeak input hook and produce significant load on system.

turned out to be soundmax's defult setting having a mic filter enabled. Disabled it. Now the only problem I have left is that i get a skipping voice from myself and when i go to test it, it gives me a codec error. I searched the forums for it but it seems the only people having that problem spoke german.

My intial thought was to uninstall the codecs teamspeak installed along with the application data dn do a fresh install and see if that works, but i cant find where TS hides the codecs (didnt see them on the audio codec page)

any help on this issue would also be very appreciated

I use this from time to time.

I believe when you install the client it will ask if you want to install the codecs and that it will overwrite them.

it only checks for the entries being made, nothing gets touched after that.
