green light alyways on no sound going through

when i get onto a teamspeak server the green light next to my name is always on indicating that im always talking even when my mic is on mute or its unplugged
but when itsa not on mute even when the green light is showing nobody can hear me so wut the !@#$ is wrong

Make sure that you have the mic selected.
Start>Control Panel>Sounds and Audio Controls>Advanced>Options>Propertes>Recording(Make sure all boxes are ticked)>OK>Tick the One for microphone.
