"Got a bad response from the server"

Hello.

My friend cannot connect to a server we're gonna use. He gets the "Got a bad response from the server".
I know it means that he's using RC1 and he needs to download RC2, and so he did, but it still says the same message.

What could the problem be?

Could be that he just can not connect to the ts server.

If you really want him to connect to the same server ask him to do a traceroute to the server that he can not connect to. That will either show the problem or eliminate a common error.

Aha. Is this "traceroute" complicated? Are you able to describe how to do it?
