Ok, so I am trying to use Teamspeak with the game Neverwinter Nights. While following the steps to setup alsa for Teamspeak I think I got rid of my /dev/adsp (not sure how). It was there at a time and dsp is linked to adsp. But now there is no dsp. Needless to say Teamspeak no longer works, but I do get audio from my other programs.
How would I go about getting /dev/adsp back? Or is there a better way to do this? I am not a complete noob at Linux, it is all I run, I just have never had a problem like this before. (I learn by doing....)
Here is the media card output:
00:05.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation nForce Audio Processing Unit (rev a2)
00:06.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation nForce2 AC97 Audio Controler (MCP) (rev a1)
am using the onboard audio for my system.
Thank you in advance for the help.
P.S. I am running Ubuntu 7.04
