for some inexplicable reason teamspeak has suddenly broken. everyone sounds insanely loud and very echoey, despite the channel using the highest quality codec. also this appears in the TSClient.log file; 28-09-07 12:17:11,4012,WARNING,All,procedure TDICallBack.execute,"The operation had no effect." or "The device buffer overflowed and some input was lost." or "The device exists but is not currently attached." or "The change in device properties had no effect."
at first I thought it may be caused by the sound changes in World of Warcraft, but the problem exists even without WoW running. tried restarting the computer. reinstalling teamspeak. reinstalling sound driver. nothing
the only thing I can think of that I haven't been able to try, is reinstalling the codecs. during the TS installation it skipped the codecs as they were already there. unfortunately there's no option to override them
I found the codecs in device manager, but I don't know which one is the right one for teamspeak

any help on solving this, or alternative solutions would be greatly appreciated
