Im using Vista, and installed TS yesterday. I was able to use it, connect to the required servver, listen and talk. This morning its not working.
I have gone through osund settings, nothing in there is on low/mute, and the same with the vista side of things. I have ressrtarted, uninstalled and reinstalled ts and it is still the same. It onlyu affects the output as others can hear me.

Anyone got any ideas?

There is a simple 4 step solution to your problem.

Supplies needed:
Vista CD (current copy)
Firearm

Procedure:
1. Take Vista CD to back alley.
2. Draw firearm.
3. Fire repeatedly into CD until it becomes a fine dust.
4. Purchase XP or use a pre-owned copy.

NOTE: Feel free to artistically fire on your Vista CD (IE: execution style, sideways-gangster-style, etc.)

But really, try reinstalling your sound drivers.

Yeah, above is good. Though sometimes the options in Volume Control are different. They can be totally different from me to you.
