View Full Version : Can not connect
I have 2 computers connected to each other through a D-Link.
I installed TS Server on the one and can connect to it through the other.
However, people outside my network cannot connect to it due to no reply.
Any suggestions?

port forwarding, outside IP adress instead of LAN IP
www.portforward.com
www.whatismyip.com (find your global IP(outside IP))
Most D-Link routers have firewalls also. You will need to configure that also.
Depends on the router model. Some D-Link will automaticaly open up the firewall if you port forward.
I got it to work. Thanks guys!
But there's a new problem:
Everyone can get on, but one person can't. There are no bans, so that removes one possibility. Any ideas?
Whats the exact error message?
Having that person try a trace route.
Start > Run...
Input: cmd
At the command line input: tracert SERVERIP
They may have a connection problem.
