OK, I know this'll sound NUTS but here goes - lol...
I live in a remote log cabin and I play an MMORPG (Puzzle Pirates) that is of a sort that actually works on the Satellite internet I have to use up here.
Obviously, TS doesn't work so swell - lol - I can HEAR just great, but I can't talk (though I sneezed once and everyone said "Bless you" - lol - just short enough to get through over a couple of seconds, I guess.)
The crew that I'm on does these massive confusing things called blockades that require teamspeak to coordinate, and they want me to be a deck officer. We tried it once with me typing and them talking, but it's obviously less than optimal. I wanted to give that particular task up, but they still want me to do it, TS or no.
So I was wondering - can someone think of a way to hook up a telephone to a TS client in another location? I have 2.9 cent per minute long distance, and friends in cities with decent connections...I was trying to figure out a way to have THEM log onto Teamspeak, me call them, and route the input/output from the phone through the computer.
I know it sounds wacky, but it's the only thing I can think of, barring selling the cabin and moving back to the city - lol
(And if I DID live in town, I'd figure out a subscription service to do this - noted all the satellite/dial-up/slow connection posts in the forum - rofl!)
Thanks, if anyone has any idea at all :)
