View Full Version : Server offline?

I would like to apologize in advance for asking this question which I'm sure has been answered a thousand times before. I searched, but none of the tips I found fixed the problem.

Here is the error I get when I try to log into my server using WAN IP. I can log in using 192.etc, but not with my external static IP.
No reply from server
Maybe the server is offline
or maybe teamspeak is not running on it

I have forwarded the necessary ports, double and triple-checked that I have a static IP, but I still cannot get it to work.

I'm sure you will have questions for me, and I'd be glad to answer them. Also, if you want, I could PM you the IP of the server and password so you can test it yourself (also I could pm you what to search for to verify you try to connect to the right server).

The server shows up when you search for it, so I'm not sure what I'm missing.

Thanks in advance for your help, and again I apologize.

Sounds like NAT problem. You cannot login on your own external IP since NAT loopback is not switched on or availeble.
As you said, answered a million times before..

Use the lan ip. And what is the lan ip of the server. You have it to be 192.168.1.36 for the server, but if you did not specifically set that up then it could be a problem as the router starts at handing out ips of 192.168.1.100

agreed with BHKai
check or setup IP on TeamSpeak pc to 192.168.1.36 netmask 255.255.255.0
DNS_ips you can copy from DHCP settings in your router

if you are STILL lost so much as not_IT_Friendly as I see from pictures info included (I don't really mean it so hard)
talk to me
even thru my mic not works properly now (make sound to make me check client)
only if you are still lost TS (teamspeak://tpc.webyt.net)

Sorry for the delayed response. I appreciate all you replies. I found out the problem soon after posting, and forgot that I posted here. When you forward your ports, there is a place for you to enter the last few digits of the ip you want to use. I didn't think it mattered, but it does. You have to you the same IP address you entered to get to the router settings.

Thanks again.
