I too have this problem. I notice when you switch to a game or any program sometimes TS loses the focus and my talk hotkey won't function for TS.
I do notice however that in my game(Everquest II) if I press my talk button when starting the game that it triggers something and allows it to work properly. well most of the time. sometimes I need to restart the game a time or two before it triggers.

I also experienced that. I can hear everyone normal like it should be, but when I have another application in the foreground (I had a xfire chat window), the push-to-talk button wont do anything. Not good :( I hope that can be fixed, cant really use TS this way^^

OOOOoooOOOoo ... you did not use search. The answer is simple. Run TS as an admin. Use search for more information.

Alright. The ghost of the past was correct. I know. I myself has post "run as admin" countless times. For me TS runs exactly the same or better as it would run on any machine. Even playing itunes videos, that have songs that I like, hosting the damn TS server, hosting the quake et or bf 2142 server, playing the game, and talking to about 5-10 friends at the same time using the TS client.
Don't yall feel like believers now?

I do run TS as an Admin and have the same problem they are having. It worked fine with XP but with Vista once I enter a game (mostly Wow) I can no longer be heard.
