Push To Talk and mic not working on TS

My microphone works on msn and on sound recording program but when i go onto TS it doesnt work and my push to talk button doesnt work as when i press it nothing lights up, im using an asus motherboard with onboard sound and windows xp pro sp2, motherboard type is M2N-E SLI, if it makes any difference.

I have exactly the same motherboard and the same problem.

I have checked and i have the latest driver for the soundcard.
My mic works in every other program.
I had vista installed in this same computer and it worked fine, now that I installed XP, i got this problem.
I tried wave instead of direct sound.
It doesen't work in ptt or voice activated.
All sound settings are correct in control panel, anyway, as it works with other aplications, that shouldn't be the problem.
The green light doesn't even light.
Sadly there is no other option to use with IVAO (virtual aviation) which is what i need teamspeak for.
I don't think that buying a new soundcard should be my solution, since this is an 6 channel 7.1 card that i dont wanna get rid of.

Any solutions please?
