View Full Version : Can't talk while playing a game.
Hello everyone, I really like Teamspeak and have been using it for a few years now but I've got a new computer and now running windows Vista (which I don't like but there are no drivers for XP) but however let's get to the point.
While playing any kind of game I can't talk, I always have to minimize the game and then talk which isn't great for best game play.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?
Best regards,
Corpos

I seems as though the only answer to this problem which I myself am also facing is to run as admin and when that doesnt work, no one has an answer.

I have had the exact same problem (i think =D) i could not speak while playing CoD4, i tried all the things i could think of, turning up and down on options everywhere, i brought the game into a "windowed mode", turned of ingame voice chat, nothing at all. You can record the chat from teamspeak, so thats how i tried, everytime i was out of the game, i could hear my voice when i talked, and when i was in the game, i could only heard the little click that turns on push-to-talk, so i thought that must something blocking it.
One from my CoD Clan suggest that i bought a new sound card (PCI), i saw mine was On-Board, using something called "REAR MIC" for microphone, when i bought my soundcard and placed it in my pc, it used "MICROPHONE" instead of REAR MIC, it worked and now i can play a match, while reporting my intel :D :D, i hope this helps.
In short terms for those who's impatient.
- If you have a soundcard that uses "REAR MIC" (you can see that from your sound settings at Output options.)
- If you can't change it to anything else fx. "MICROPHONE". then you have to buy a new sound card (make sure it does not use REAR MIC)
To Teamspeak team, you might need to look at the blocking between REAR MIC and In game.
