Hi,
I've used TS for a number of years with no problems. Now suddenly when I click Connect to my usual server TS just locks up. If I bring up Task Manager sometimes it shows TS as running but not responding, sometimes it's not there at all. Nothing I do can shut it down bar rebooting.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled TS, installed a Ghost image from a couple of weeks ago, and nothing seems to work. The first time I installed the Ghost image TS connected as usual, then the next time it was the same, so I did the ghost image again but this time it just locked up.

Any ideas?

I have the same issue.
I last used TS successfully Sun Dec 8, 2007. I tried to connect Dec 14th but it froze. The only thing that changed (that I can think of) was a Win update that happened on the 12th. I did a system restore but that didn't work; I tried manually uninstalling the updates that happened but to no avail. I am assuming there is still something out there that I can’t find. My server works great (others can join) but I cannot. I find that the TS client freezes not just when joining. I tried to search for public servers and it froze when I hit cancel. I can only shut down TS if I reboot, logging off the on again doesn’t work.
Would an older TS client version work? I don’t have an older version to try.

I think I got it sorted. I uninstalled TS, opened regedit and search/deleted every Teamspeak entry I could find, deleted the Teamspeak folde in C:\Program Files and then reinstalled......all my server addresses were still there so I guess I didn't get all Teamspeak files but now it ssems to work again......so far. I didn't do any Win updates BTW......I have auto updates turned off.

I had the same problem, and I did just what Blaktop did. TS no longer locks up when I try to connect. So far, so good.

I only deleted three or four registry entries. One of them was part of the trusted applications list in my antivirus program. (I don't know the significance, if any.) I removed it from the list using my antivirus app rather than removing the registry entry. So far, antivirus hasn't complained.

This happened to me as well the other day, and I am asumming yous are all running win xp?
It just so happened to be that my machine downloaded and installed some xp updates through automatic update and I hadnt used TS since the update and when I first started TS up I get the problem yous have discribed above.
So I am asumming it has somthing to do with crapy M$ making some mess up in the update.
But all seems ok now I just rebooted and it works now having no more trouble.
Strange!

I'm getting the same problem, I first thought I was the only one with the problem but seeing more ppl with same problem kinda makes me happy so I hope we can sort this out because Teamspeak is most of the reason I go on the PC's to talk to mates :) and without it's just boring =/
